I’m glad you got to experience the sun, little friend 🥹 May we all be brave enough to seek the Light in a dark world ( yes I’ve heard the scientific reasonings behind this, but I still think the sentiment we’re finding in the story is very touching 💛🥹)

. Y’all, I flippin loved writing this story. I love my characters, I love their growth, their dumb jokes, their friendships! They feel like a part of me. Inktober Day 25: 🔥Blinding Light🔥 Did anyone ever watch that Disneychannel show “American Dragon Jake Long?” Yeah, well it was my FAVORITE show in high school (y’all, I wrote fanfiction, I loved it that much!) Anyway, I couldn’t help but imagine Egan saying “DRAGON UP!” In this chapter! 🤣🤣🤣 But seriously, I think this may be one of my favorite drawings I’ve made of Egan! It’s very appropriate for this chapter where he’s realizing how good it feels to embrace who he is, not just to save his friends, but to save himself. I just love my character so much. Inktober Day 8: 😰 The Ragged Dragon 😰 Oooooof! Poor Kenna! She’s lookin’ a little rough! This was one of my favorite chapters to write so far. Things got emotional and it was refreshing to write something that wasn’t my usual happy! One scene I liked so much, I sketched a comic version of it and included it in today’s post! Inktober Day 7: 🐉 The Legend 🐉 uh oh! Look who’s back! That’s right, it’s the evil king! He started out as a mysterious post credit scene at the end of year two, and now I’m having fun fleshing him out. He even has a proper name now! What does King Jaecar have in store for poor Kenna?! Heh heh, we’re gonna learn more reasons why he’s the villain!
But I gotta say, Jaecar had a bit of a glow-up from his first appearance last year! An evil king needs some devilishly good looks, am I right?! 😎

Inktober Day 5: 🔥Secrets Revealed🔥 Egan tried to keep it secret that he’s a dragon, but it’s a little hard to keep it secret when your head bursts into flames! Don’t you hate when that happens?! Bummer! I laughed way too hard when I drew Creepums roasting marshmallows in Egan’s hair! I mean, isn’t that what you’d do if your new friend’s hair turned into fire? I think this was my favorite piece to draw so far! It’s just so crazy! I don’t think I’ve ever drawn so much fire as I have this month!
